Following weeks of delay, Apple AirPods is now available on Apple store for $159.00. The Airpods, was previously slated to launch in late October but Apple delayed the release for unspecified reasons.

Apple mentioned in its official press release, that the AirPods will begin arriving at Apple retail stores, Apple Authorized Resellers and selected carriers next week. The shipment will start in limited quantities at launch.

Apple said customers should keep a close watch on its online store for updates on availability and shipping estimations. Users can now order the Bluetooth enabled headphones, which provide up to 5 hours of music playback and high sound quality.

The W1 chip in the AirPods provides a seamless and automatic connection between an iPhone and the AirPods. It connects instantly whenever the rechargeable battery case is opened close to an iOS device.

 The Airpods detect when they are in the ears, it automatically pause audio when taken out of the ear. Playback controls are enabled by double-tapping on the buds.

According to Fortune, The AirPods are the first from the company to support Apple's new W1 chip, which uses accelerometer and sensors to detect when AirPods are in the ears. They are the first wireless earbuds from Apple, but they have a white design similar to the company's wired earbuds.

The included charging case provides a fast charging which delivers up to 24 hours of battery life for the AirPods. It introduces a comfortable wireless listening experience packed with high audio quality and long battery life.

With Siri, the wireless headphone improves calls, TV shows, and gaming experience. Interacting with Siri provides a splendid audio experience for Airpods users, the first of its kind.

The accessory added to the AirPods is a lightning cable used to charge the travel case. The headphones require Apple devices that run iOS 10, WatchOS 3 or MacOS Sierra, According to Macrumor.

Delivery was estimated to arrive their destinations before Christmas, specifically December 21,
but it is reported to have slipped to December 29 in the United States.
