'Suicide Squad 2' to Release in 2018; Will Smith is no longer Playing Deadshot, The Joker to have Full-fledged Role in the Movie

"Suicide Squad" was released on August 5 and was a massive blockbuster movie. Although anticipation around the character of The Joker played by Jared Leto was high, he didn't have many scenes in the movie. On the flip side, "Suicide Squad 2" which is slated to launch sometime in 2018 has full-fledged Joker character.

Apart from The Joker, Deadshot aka Will Smith has confirmed the speculations about his exit from the sequel. Will Smith said he had two movies that are "Suicide Squad 2", and "Independence Day 2" to choose from and he decided to choose the latter one as its prequel was his big break on the silver screen, as stated by Ecumenical News.

ScreenRant reported, While Will Smith was promoting his movie "Collateral Beauty", he signed in for "Independence Day 2" and he is playing the role of Floyd Lawton. According to him, leaving the movie that gave him his big break was not acceptable and given that Will likes experimenting with his roles, he opted for "Independence Day 2" over "Suicide Squad 2". His other notable movies are "The Pursuit of Happiness", "The Legend", "Focus", "After Earth", etc.

"Suicide Squad" received much acclaim because of Margot Robbie who played a lunatic Harley Quinn who is the love interest of The Joker. Margot proved her acting caliber in "Suicide Squad" and receive love by all moviegoers. She also played the role of Leonardo Dicaprio's on-screen wife in the movie "The Wolf of the Wallstreet".

"Suicide Squad 2" will be entirely focused on The Joker as said. Jared Leto might play the main antagonist as same as "Suicide Squad" in which he was seen for mere 15-minutes which kind of disappointed moviegoers as Jared Leto pulled major crowd towards the movie. Another Character of the movie is Deadshot, Diablo, Enchantress amongst others.

"Suicide Squad" became the first movie to have all villains as the protagonists and the witch Enchantress is the antagonist. The movie earned $400 million worldwide and $175 million in the home country taking the toll to total $745 Million worldwide. The "Suicide Squad 2" will release in 2018.
