Most people might have ever heard about weird treatments for a better healthy lifestyle or other purposes in this modern era. There are urine therapy or urotherapy which some celebrities like Madonna has experienced it, beer spa, leech therapy, maggot therapy, head transplant and much more.

The weird treatment which often exposed by the media and not a few people gave the testimonials is a urine therapy. It is an alternative medicine using human urine for a cosmetic purpose by putting on the skin for massaging or medicinal by drinking it in the morning. The person also needs to adopt a proper method before doing it, like drinking plenty of water or certain juices and dieting in the night before. This therapy has health benefits for the human body, including prevent from bacterial infection, cure fungal infection on the skin, prevent from a viral infection, prevent hair loss, promotes a healthy heart, and so on.

There is another weird alternative treatment which is not mentioned yet. It is using something 'yucky' from our body like urine therapy, called poop transplant or fecal transplant (FTM: Fecal Microbiota Transplantation) or bacteriotherapy. What is poop transplant? It has a literal meaning as the name. As reported by Brit Lad, it is using a poo from a healthy person which contains a good bacteria, then transplanting it through enema into a digestive track of a sick person. It is also available in form of capsule, so a sick person can swallow it. According to the source, the transplant is utilizing the microbes in feces which are approximately 40%. Those microbes which are transplanted, will resettle and improve a healthier digestive system.

Is there any experiment that works by using this treatment? In 2013, a person with a C.Diff (Clostridium Difficile Bacteria) or digestive infection, had done a successful transfusion and got a healthier digestive system. Unfortunately, it had to be stopped because got complained by the volunteers as they didn't randomly get selected to have the treatment.

At the same year 2013, some companies have begun a 'poo banks' where a poo of healthy person is paid for USD 40. If anyone wants to be a healthy poo donor, he must no have a cancer heredity, low BMI (Body Mass Index) and no consuming antibiotics in last six months. This treatment could be an alternative healthcare for the future. Here is the video about a fecal transplant.
