Qualcomm has announced in November 2016 that their flagship product, snapdragon 821 processor will soon be replaced by better and powerful Snapdragon 835 processor.

Snapdragon 821 processor is at its peak until now and hardly embedded in few major smartphones. Qualcomm is constantly evolving into new hardware by investing in its R&D.

Though Qualcomm was reluctant to share any further details on specs of the new chipset before its official launch, SD 835 was spotted testing on GFXbench, reported Phone Arena.

Noteworthy is its specs on the test bench. It is tested with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in an octa-core configuration.

The new chip is ridiculously small compared to its predecessors. It is manufactured using Samsung's FinFet technology, which is used to produce chips and processors. SD 835 is a 10nm chip, whereas SD 820 & SD821 are 14nm chips. It means that new chipset can give more space for designers to pack more stuff and in turn, makes the smartphone more compact.

Apart from the above SD 835 is primarily designed to deliver better and faster performance in games, graphics, and data transfers. Qualcomm reveals that SD 835 can give 27% improved performance of 540 CPU compared to 530 CPU.

Also, it is 30% more compact and consumes 40%  less power than its siblings. All these add up to a beastly performance on the smartphones. It is rumored that SD 835 features new Quick Charge 4.0 technology that enhances the phone charging better than Quick charge 3.0.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is to be embedded in the upcoming smartphones like Samsung S8, Samsung Galaxy S8, Mi 6, LG G6, HTC 11, OnePlus 4 and many smartphones slated for release in 2017, as per Trusted Reviews.

AnTuTu has earlier predicted that this new processor may be better than the new Apple's A10 processor, which is released in October 2016.

Snapdragon 835 is planned to launch during Mobile World Congress in February 2017 to be held in Barcelona. If it doesn't turn up then, it may be released before June 2017.
