Everything doesn't seem right in the life of Marc Anthony and wife Shannon De Lima. After remaining married for about two years, the couple is among the latest Hollywood celebs to join the divorce league. It has been confirmed from sources that the couple are heading for a divorce.

The news has come as a shock for all Anthony fans, just weeks after he was found kissing ex-flame Jennifer Lopez on the stage at the Latin Grammy awards.

According to a statement given to a magazine the couple said, "After much consideration, we have mutually and amicably decided to end our two year marriage." They further added, "We ask for privacy during this difficult process, and no further comments will be made from either one of us about this personal matter."

A source close to this high profile couple mentioned that the real reason behind the split was the worldwide famous superstar,Anthony's unrelenting career. The source even added that Marc's busy career, that required excessive travelling, touring and recording music made him distance himself from his closed ones.

According to the source, even Marc wasn't much aware of the growing distance between him and the family. The situation was such, even with wife, Shannon by his side, she would feel he is on some other planet altogether. Now, that's sad!

The source even mentioned that Marc likes to have a woman at home to take care of things, but at the same time he likes to move about like a bachelor. Sadly, things don't work that way and it didn't for Marc as well.

The celebrity pair was married for about two years and have no children from the marriage. Shannon, 28 has a 9 year old son from her earlier relationship. Interestingly, Anthony's marriage to the Venezuelan model,  De Lima was his fourth. Marc was earlier married to singer-actor, Jennifer Lopez.
