Sony Tweeted The New “The Dark Tower” Teaser Poster, Updates for the upcoming Stephen King’s Big Screen adaptation

Idris Elba, the star of Stephen King's magnum opus big screen adaptation "The Dark Tower", takes the stage in the recently released teaser poster. Featured alongside is co-star Tom Taylor, the poster shown entirely in red, with Idris Elba's character Roland Deschain 'The Gunslinger' and his ward Jake Chambers. With a tower in the background and the quote 'May Your Days Be Long Upon The Earth'.

Being the main protagonist of the movie, Idris Elba seen quite actively promoting the project by tweeting an image that featured the nod of the gunslinger's creed in the books according by a report by IGN. Tom Taylor also tweeted a picture features his character on a crossroad with the words 'There Are Other World Than These'

By the release of this poster, the hype for trailer release has certainly raised. Comicbook states that the trailer is expected to release sometime before Christmas. According to the report there has been a trailer has made for internal use and it's been leaked just two months ago. Though without the special effects, the unfinished trailer gets a positive response from the fans.

Despite it's unreleased status, the studio's confidence in the project is quite high. By the report from wegotthiscovered, theres a spinoff of the movie featuring a younger Roland already in the works. "The Dark Tower" is a series spanning seven novels, and an already rich storytelling in itself, but the movie will not be a direct adaptation of the series. It seems to took on the same path as the 'Game Of Thrones' tv series by HBO, which also an adaptation of George R.R.Miller's 'A Song of Ice and Fire'. "The Dark Tower" is directed by Nikolaj Arcel and stars Idris Elba, Tom Taylor, Matthew McConaughey. The film is produced by Sony Pictures and will be released February 2017
