The speculations have started surfacing on the next-gen Apple smartphone, iPhone 8. The company might launch the new iPhone 8 with a curved OLED screen next year, a report from Korea Herald suggests.

Reports are also suggesting that the company will launch the new phone with an all-glass body, an edge-to - edge OLED display, a 3D camera and wireless charging - a first for an iPhone, reported LearnBonds.

Macworld reports that the company is planning to launch the iPhone 8 along with other models - iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus in September 2017 which will mark a 10 year Anniversary of the iPhone.

On Sunday, The Korea Herald reported that new iPhone will come with a curved OLED screen next year. The Cupertino giant "ordered all plastic OLED - not glass - from Samsung Display," the Herald reported, citing a source familiar with the matter. "The OLED version of the new iPhone will all be curved," the paper's source said, adding that "Samsung is capable of supplying a little less than 100 million units of curved OLED displays to Apple," - added the report.

The highly anticipated phone is expected to come in three variants - two standard variants and one special variant with all the features and an OLED screen. However, the model will not be foldable as opposed to the flexibility provided by OLED screens. The reports also suggest that the new iPhone will have a long range wireless technology which will enable the handset to charge itself from a long range.

Also, a report from the Forbes points to Apple killing off the side buttons in favor of touch sensors. The company recently filed a patent related to "Electronic Devices with Display and Touch Sensor Structures." So, we might see this speculation making it into the next - gen iPhone.
