'Alien : Covenant' Adds James Franco to Its Cast; New Images And Trailer Coming Up

Ridley Scott's upcoming "Alien : Covenant" installment gets James Franco to add to its already magnetic cast. Alongside Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, and Guy Pearce who will reprise their roles at 'Prometheus'. The actor's filmography span from comedy, drama and thriller, and had plenty to give to Scott's Sci-Fi Thriller. James Franco finally confirmed his involvement in the movie, and will play Katherine Waterston's Daniels husband and captain of the spaceship Covenant

Variety states that the movie script was written by Jack Paglen, Michael Green and John Logan. Being the direct follow up of the previous installment, 'Prometheus' follows Michael Fassbender's character the android David as the only survivor from the Prometheus expedition meets the crew of the Spaceship Covenant in a dark, isolated planet as their initial thought they were going to find a paradise at the ends of the galaxy.  

Alongside James Franco, theres Katherine Waterston who joined the cast can be seen in newly released photos. According to collider the pictures were released by EW and it shows her with a machine gun in hand. Katherine Waterston played alongside Eddie Redmayne in this year's 'Fantastic Beasts' and instantly becoming a fan favorite thanks to her adorable but strong charm on screen. She played a character named Daniels, the leader of the Covenant expedition and carries a similar look with Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley from the first Alien Movie back in 1979.

Theres a report from movieweb that there's a picture being posted on the official 'Alien' twitter page (@AlienAnthology) with a strange number set. It's 220512052104. Thanks to fan forums on the net, the numbers is said to be the date and time for the trailer release. December 22, 12:05, 2104. Of course it won't be on 2104, that's the year of the story "Alien : Covenant" is set, ten years after the events on 'Prometheus'. If a trailer really coming up, we'll just have to wait and see.
