At December 12, 2016 Apple launched a new version of their OS, the iOS 10.2. And just recently they also stop signing the latter versions, the 10.0 and 10.1. This means that the users can't downgrade their device.

According to a report from gsmarena, this new OS had 100 new emojis, wallpapers, iMessage screen effects, and a new TV app. This new features is put alongside the changes to music, camera, and Emergency SOS.

The 10.2 OS is already 10 days old by now, but there has been a beta version of 10.2.1. But Macrumors states that it's still in testing phase and can only be access by developers and public beta testers.

One of the main purposes of this 10.2 update is to fix major bugs that disturbs users and to fix the security holes in the system. Mainly jailbraking, but there's haven't been any reports about jailbreaks in the latter versions of the OS just as reported by 9to5mac.

Mobile & apps said on a post that this update will affect most of the apple users who haven't upgraded though. Since it's the OS that the device and server find as the legal version of the OS. Hopefully by the time this article is written, most of that users already upgrade their device.

There is an interesting article on Forbes though, pointing out a problem on the update. the problem is a 30% battery bug that makes any apple device with the 10.2 update to shuts down when it hits the 30% battery mark. Firstly reported at a iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices and then to 6S. according to the article that Apple had known about the problem but states that it didn't and won't happen to another device.

Also in the article states that the 10.2 update brings the problem to the devices in the first place while the earlier versions never had this sort of problems. Hopefully the next 10.2.1 update brings this problem to a close and gives the user the comfort they needed while using their apple devices.
