Meizu is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer that offers high-configuration yet at a cheaper price than any other brand similar to Xiaomi or OnePlus. A new model might have come up after reports of being passed in several certifications required in China.

Listed as M612M and M612Q, the latest models from Meizu have reportedly cleared TENAA certification which means it will roll out soon. Although, Meizu opted not to comment on it, but sources reveal that the smartphone will roll out with the moniker Meizu M5S.

According to GSMArena, the Meizu M5S hosts a 5.2" HD 720p Display and will get Internal power by its MediaTek MT6750 Octa-core 1.3Ghz Processor couples with Mali-T860 GPU.  Meizu always provides RAM and Internal Storage options and hence, in Meizu M5S, the RAM options will be 2/3/4GB whereas Internal Memory will have 16/32/64GB options which can be further expanded via MicroSD card up to 128GB. It is will have two shooters that are 5-megapixel in front and 13-megapixel in the rear.

Meizu was also spotted to have received China Compulsory Certification or 3C Certification for both M612M and M612Q Models. Smartphone Point stated that the device will have Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS based on Meizu's Flyme 5.2 OS. Backed with 2,930mAh, the device offers excellent connectivity options like WiFI, 3G, 4G LTE with VoLTE, etc which makes it a desirable phone citing its low prices which are followed by all its flagship smartphones. The Meizu M5S will have the dimensions of 148.2 x 72.53 x 8.4mm and will weigh just 138 grams which are still lighter than some high-end smartphones. The color options available with the device are rose gold, gold, gray, and silver.

The CES 2017 will be held from January 5 to January 8 and that is where the Meizu is expected to unveil the new Meizu M5S and hopefully, both the models that have cleared 3C and TENAA. Other smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer are Meizu PRO 6 Edge which was recently leaked on the Internet having a curved QHD AMOLED display with processor similar to Samsung Galaxy S7. Meizu PRO 6 Edge is definitely a big shark in the Chinese pond with 6GB RAM and other improved configurations that will be over expectations of millions of Meizu fans.
