"The Cars we drive say a lot about us", well said and true. A car signifies a man's character and no wonder, it is the most desirable thing to have. Chevrolet Corvette is no different and in fact, it is no ordinary. If word-of-mouth is to believe, General Motors that owns Chevrolet will roll out two Corvette models.

Isn't it a lucrative deal, indeed. The Drive spilled the beans about Chevy's Corvettes after rumors began to do the rounds. As per the reports, Chevy will unveil two new models of Corvette: upgraded mid-engined C8 codenamed as LT5, and a track version of C7 codenamed ZR1, both of which will leave Corvette fans speechless.

Both the models will have dual overhead cam V8 engine along with new advanced features. The codenames mentioned above are not a rumor but actual codenamed for the two 2018 models. Chevrolet currently manufactures LT1 and supercharged LT4 and soon the LT5 will be added in the motor breed in 2018.

The upcoming ZR1 supposedly have a front-engine to churn out more power to outrun 650-horsepower Zo6. However, there is a catch. The GM Service Department documented a table concerning with information about the upcoming ZR1 as per which there is no hint on forced induction that actually gives Corvette jaw-dropping horsepower, however, the absence of hint points towards the naturally aspirated engine.

The GM Service Document was published on Reddit that explained the upcoming Corvette, however, it seems that GM has removed the post but of no use as the sparks have already ignited. Chevy codenamed the dual-overhead-cam 6.2-litre V8 as LT5 which is rumored to churn out mind-blowing 700-horsepower, Driving stated. The DHOC Motor that will be used in both new models first appeared in C4-generation Corvette ZR1 between 1990 and 1995.

Chevrolet stated that the Corvette ZR1 and Corvette LT5 will be unveiled in 2018 but rumors are that the Corvette ZR1 might be showcased at North Americal International Auto Show next month in Detroit.
