Kong: Skull Island’ Sets Plot in Vietnam War - Movie Plot, Release Date and Much More

Jordan Vogt-Roberts' 'Kong: Skull Island' is all set to hit the theatres on March 10, 2017. The makers of 'Kong: Skull Island' has released its trailer one month back and now has released its images. From the released materials it was very clear that the plot of the movie is set in a war background.

It is the first time for a King Kong movie to set in a war background. The movie 'Kong: Skull Island' is not connected with any of the previous 'King Kong' movies, other than the central character of the movie. The movie will be telling more of the origin of King Kong.

The Empire reports that, the director of the movie, Jordan Vogt-Robert commented that, initially the script was having a plot that was set in 1917. And in the search for a weird 'King Kong' movie concept, he decided to do the movie in the backdrop of Vietnam war. The Legendary Entertainment team also approved his idea for the movie , Kong: Skull Island in such a background.

The 2017 movie, Wonder Woman will have a positive effect with such a World War background in the movie 'Kong: Skull Island', according to Jordan, as per the reports of Cinema Blend. Jordan Vogt-Robert also commented that, the audience will have a sense of familiarity with the  same background, which happens 13-16 years back.

The movie, Kong: Skull Island is expected to be an adventure to a remote island in Pacific ocean by a team of explorers and soldiers. The trespassers of the island are unaware of the risks and dangers of the uncharted island, which is under the rule of King Kong. They also need to face the Skull Crawlers in the island.

The posters and images of 'Kong: Skull Island' also showcase the dangers and terrors, which awaits the travelers in the movie. The character of Captain James Conrad will be handled by Tom Hiddleston. Samuel L. Jackson will be portraying the role of Packard. Brie Larson , Shea Whigham, Tobey Kebbell, Jason Mitchell, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Corey Hawkins and Jing Tian will be the rest cast of 'Kong: Skull Island'.
