There has been a spate of malicious text and hacks in Apple iPhones recently. Through this iPhones are subjected to data thefts and malfunctioning. The recent threat for iPhone is coming from a malicious message which is floating on the internet and scaring the iPhone users.

According to Phone Arena, it is reported earlier this month that a 3-second video in circulation from Vk.com has caused the iPhones to slow down or completely freeze them for some time. To unfreeze this, the user needed to hard reset the phone.

Users were encountering this message threat since yesterday, which has been circulating on the Apple icloud. This is a new message virus, which is affecting iPhones running on iOS 9 to the latest iOS 10.1 & iOS 10.2 (Beta 1 and Beta 2 versions). The virus in the message form is not detectable in a quick glance. But, when a user tries to open this unknown file in the message, then the message app is completely frozen, as per SMP Gadget

It might appear that the user goes to a multi-tasking page and swipes the message app away could solve the problem. But, when the user opens the message app again, the problem resurfaces. The user will suffer from malfunctioning of messages app altogether and can neither send or receive messages from anyone. At the end of the day, the user can't fix this problem in his/her own capacity.

The problem has surfaced a couple of days ago and right now there are no quick fix solutions for this menace. Apple has to still own the problem and may send the software patch through OTA after analyzing the threat. Due to the holiday season, it may take some time to get their act together.

This such time, iPhone users are advised to handle messages carefully and not to open larger and unknown files. It is also recommended to share this information with friends and avoid havoc on the New Year's eve!
