Nintendo has shared new screenshots of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on the "Legend of Zelda" official Facebook page. The developer has provided users with a closer look at the game's Guardian enemy type, via the recently released images.

The gameplay screenshot does not really showcase much about the upcoming game, but it does offer a glimpse of what to expect from a boss battle in the adventure game.

The screenshot showcase protagonist Link doing battle with a Guardian just as the enemy appears as if it is about to fire. The battle is seemingly taking place in one of the many temples gamers will comes across while playing the game sometime next year.

The screenshot is one of the first and precisely the only pieces of official media update for the game that shows Link in an indoor setting as most of the game's promotion has only focused on showcasing the vast vision of the kingdom of Hyrule.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is the first original legend of Zelda game developed for Wii U console and will also be available for the upcoming Nintendo NX. The game is set for simultaneous release across these platforms,  according to IGN.

This updates comes as part of a steady stream of reveals which Nintendo promised last two. Nintendo has been releasing screenshot and art from "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" to the legend of Zelda's official Facebook page.

The developer released some new gameplay of Link riding down a snowy hill with his shield, concept art of the hero's cold weather garments, a screenshot of the main character warming up by a fire, and even the festive holiday illustration, according to Dualshockers.

Nintendo also shared other pictures from "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" earlier this month which showcased that space could be on a circle on the opponents head or on the holes located on its base. However, the only way to be certain is to wait for the game's final release sometime in 2017.

There are also speculations that the developer want to release the Wii U and the Switch version of the game together. Gamers will have to wait until January 13 to clarify their assumptions as Nintendo plans to announce all the big news surrounding the Nintendo Switch, including price, specs and title launch lineup.

There is still no official specified released date but gamers are optimistic that the game will launch sometime in 2017.
