Fans are too curious about the new movie of 'The Fast and the Furious' franchise. The official trailer of 'Fast 8' aka 'The Fate of the Furious' was released last month showing Vin Diesel's betrayal. Here are some insights about the movie.

'The Fate of the Furious' is a prequel to 'Furious 7', released in 2015. As stated in Digital Trends, 'Furious 7' set box-office record around the world and it is on its wat to become the sixth highest-grossing film of all time worldwide.

One of the big things in this movie is Dom's betrayal. Dom is known for his love for family but in this part, he betrays them and joins the new Villain, Cipher. Jason Statham joins Dwayne and the team to fight against Dom and Cipher.

Filmmakers and Cast

'The Fate of the Furious', directed by F. Gary Gray will hit the theaters on April 14, 2017. Vin Diesel is the co-producer along with Neil H. Moritz, the producer of all previous movies of this franchise. Chris Morgan is the screenwriter who wrote the scripts for last five fast and furious movies.

This film casts Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Ludacris. There is a long list of people who are retained for this movie including villain.

Franchise Debut

Some of the new cast includes the main villain Charlize Theron playing a role of Cipher, a cybercriminal mastermind who manages to turn Dominic Toretto against his family. She is joined by Kristofer Hivju, 'Game of Thrones' actor who plays the role of Cipher's henchmen.

Scott Eastwood will play the black ops agent who supports Russell. Helen Mirren is there in the movie but her role is not disclosed yet.

Who will be Missed

Paul Walker, one of the lead actor died in November 2013 and franchise was forced to use digital effects and body doubles for rest of the shoot with his brother to finish his part of the film. The last scene of the movie was emotional when Vin and Paul, brothers drive apart from a long way. His wife and Dom's sister, Mia will also not be there as she is said to be with Brian somewhere.

However, there is a rumor that Paul's role will be played by his brother but series producer Neil H. Moritz denied that and said that Paul's character had "moved on".

Story

Till now, "Family" used to fight against the villain but in this part Dominic Toretto, Vin Diesel joins Cipher, Charlize Theron, the villain and Deckard Shaw, Jason Statham joins Luke Hobbs, Dwayne Johnson, and the team to fight against them.

Cipher recruits Dom to return to the crime and fight against his family which makes him the target of Hobbs, the Diplomatic Security Service agent, who fought against him in the fifth part of the franchise.

Due to Dom's betrayal, Mr. Nobody is forced to release Shaw to join the team and defeat Dom and Cipher. However, it is still unknown whether Dom joins Cipher in real or just to gain her trust.

Record-breaking Trailer

The official trailer of 'The Fate of the Furious' was launched in December 2016. It set a new record of more than 139 million views in the first 24 hours of its debut which is more than 127.6 million views of the trailer of 'Beauty and the Beast'.
