Two Chinese firms have been fined huge amount on charges of copying some parts of the hit movie series, "Cars" and "Cars 2". These firms are ordered to pay $194,000 to Walt Disney and Pixar as a compensation for copyright issue.

The approximate value of the compensation is 1.35 million Yuan (which equals to $194,000). The Venture Beat says, the order was given by a Shanghai court to pay the amount to Disney and Pixar.

According to Yahoo News, Disney and Pixar filed a case against these two Chinese firms regarding the local animation from China "The Autobots". The allegation was that the characters, the title and the posters of "The Autobots" were similar to Walt Disney and Pixar's "Cars" and "Cars 2".

The allegation was proved right when the Shanghai court agreed the K1 and K2 characters from "The Autobots" were similar to Lighting McQueen and Francesco Bernoulli, who were the animated car characters of "Cars" and "Cars 2".

After the proving of allegation right, the show and activity were ordered to stop immediately as per court's order. 1 million Yuan has to be paid to Disney and Pixar for economic losses and other 350,000 Yuan for the expenses of legal activity. No other payments have been ordered to pay. After the decision from the court, both the parties, i.e. Disney and Pixar and both the Chinese firms were not available for any further comment, as per Xinhua News Agency.

Disney has invested a huge amount of $5.5 billion for a theme park in China, which has been opened recently. It is located in Shanghai. Some animated movies such as "Zootopia" and "Big Hero 6" have been successfully hit at the box office there.

After the release of "Cars" in the year 2006 and "Cars 2" in the year 2011, a third sequel to the Cars series, i.e. "Cars 3" will be releasing this year. "Cars 3" is scheduled to release on 24 June 2017.
