Life is the most precious thing on this earth. Technology is developed thousand fold to save that life on earth, but sometimes natural disasters wipe out a huge volume of habitation from the map of this earth. Mega tsunami is one such natural disaster that can eliminate a large number of lives within a fraction of seconds.

The world has already witnessed the destructive dance of tsunamis.  No-one can forget the tsunamis happened in the Indian Ocean in 2004 and in Japan in 2011. The two tsunamis collectively eliminate 300,000 lives.

Sources of Mail Online reveal that these tsunamis can't be compared with the mega tsunamis that eliminate dinosaurs. Recently, 'RealLifeLore', the YouTube channel posted a video entitled 'How Big do Tsunamis Get?', which describes the strength of a tsunami.

The narrator of the video reveals so many previous incidents. But the million dollar question that is raised from the discussion is whether in the coming days the mega tsunamis can wipe out the entire east coast of the US or not.

According to the 'RealLifeLore', a mega tsunami occurs only when a massive size material suddenly falls into the water that ultimately displaces a huge amount of water into a huge wave. In 1963 this happened in Italy. The cause of this problem is the construction of the world's largest dam by the government.

The narrator of the video describes how the Italian government ignored the warnings and even sued few journalists who predicted the upcoming danger. But ultimately the predictions became real and a major landslide generated a wave of 820 feet high.

The result was horrible. The wave created an impact of 200 feet deep and 260 feet wide that finally hit the ground. Even a little village was eliminated from the map of Italy due to this incident.

But this incident was very small compared to that incident which happened in Alaska in 1958. A powerful earthquake generated waves 1,722 feet high which devastated a huge area.

But the comparison doesn't end here. Study found an incident that took place 66 million years ago.  An asteroid from space hit the earth and created a wave up to 3.1 miles.

But what about the east coast of the US? Is there any probability that mega tsunami can take place and the whole area can't survive in the near future?

This discussion doesn't explore any future probability of such incidents on earth, but RealLifeLore predicts that there is a 0.00001 percent chance that one of the Canary Islands can collapse in near future. Even it can eliminate the entire east coast of the US.

Previously Simon Day, a researcher at the University College London gave a warning regarding the eruptions in the Canary Islands. Though, it creates a great hullabaloo.

In 2013 UK's National Oceanography Centre researched on deep-sea sediments that reveal that the Canaries are the most probable places that can face the tsunamis. Even these places can witness the gradual collapse.
