Asus ZenFone AR Gets Leaked Accidently On Qualcomm's Official Website As The New Tango Phone

Qualcomm is one of the major chip-maker powering billions of devices with its processors. The manufacturer is in news for some different reason this time as they have accidently leaked one of the major smartphones which is supposed to be unveiled at CES 2017.

Asus Zenfone AR is going to be the second smartphone to be launched with Google Tango as leaked by the partner Qualcomm and reported by TheVerge. Qualcomm revealed this information on its own website (the link is not available now) and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chipset will power the device. The interesting thing to note is that the device will be the first one to support both Google's Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality platforms. The first phone to support Google Tango was Lenovo's Phab 2 Pro which runs on the Snapdragon 652 SoC. The Zenfone AR will be a powerful device as it uses Snapdragon 821 which a quad core processor and currently the most powerful SoC in the market.

Google Tango

Google Tango is a technology platform which enables augmented reality gaming and apps. Tango is capable of doing three things with the help of sensors - Motion tracking, Depth perception and Area learning. All these functionalities help create a 3D model of the real world reports ARSTechnica. There are several apps which are exclusively built for Tango and provide unique experience to the Tango users by creating 3D models.

Google Daydream VR                      

It is a virtual reality platform developed by Google which is only available in Android Nougat devices. Daydream is essentially a set of three components - a handset, a controller and a software which create a virtual world. At Google's Developer Conference, the company demonstrated a "breakfast simulator" app in which players had to flip pancakes and cast fishing rods.

Asus Zenfone AR is a device which will define the future of Android phones and how are they going to perform in Virtual and Augmented Reality platforms. More details on the phone will be available in CES 2017 at Las Vegas.
