Marvel movies surely make it a point to give their heroes an opportunity to show off their six packs while cleaning a wound, changing wardrobe, or just because they feel like it. Whether it is the god-like body of Christ Hemsworth who plays Thor, the eye-popping transformation of Chris Evans as Captain America, or Chris Evans as hot-bodied Star Lord, Marvel Comic Universe knows how to mold men into the best male eye-candy for the viewers.

Would you believe it that Marvel Studios was wary of interviewing Chris Pratt for the role of Peter Quill because of his weight problem? James Gunn, the director of the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, admitted that he didn't think Pratt was made for the role until he saw him audition for it. He was ready to fit a CGI six-pack onto Chris but the hero wanted to have one for real.

Stun told the ShortList, "He lost 80lb of fat and gained 20lb of muscle for this movie."

Pratt's hard work certainly did not go unnoticed.

E! News has ranked all the men of Marvel by their hotness factor, and Captain America aka Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans) won hands down. I am sure if a machine could transform one from being 'skinny' to 'rippling with muscles' in just 30 seconds, there will be a long line of users who would want to try it.

You can just re-play that scene again and again.

However, few men have ever seen such a notable success in packing on mass for a movie, as Chris Hemsworth did for his character Thor. He is certainly in a peak condition in the movies like"The Avengers", and its sequel, "Thor: The Dark World".

Thor often appears sleeveless in the movies but it's the shirtless scenes that grab eyeballs most.

Check out this YouTube video which compiles some of the best shirtless moments of Marvel superheroes for you:
