DC has been quite consistent about how it promotes its movies. They start promoting their movie years before it gets released. The trailer of "Justice League" was out even before the movie's shooting was completed. Similarly, "Suicide Squad'' first trailer came long before the movie was released.

The new comic book movie 'Gotham City Sirens' is expected to hit the theaters sometime in June 2017, though the Forbes claims that it would be one of the 2018 releases. The promotion of the movie has already begun. Warner Bros has released a picture of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn (from Suicide Squad) that had not been seen yet.

Fans are wary, though. DC is known to prioritize 'promotion' over 'good storytelling' which does not go down well with the comic book fans. In fact, Warner Bros was sued by a guy because many of the scenes shown in the trailer of Suicide Squad were actually missing from the actual movie. There were allegations that the script of the movie was written in merely six weeks, which explains why it had so many flaws.

That said, the superhero movie market does have a big and loyal fan base.

Cinemablend rightly claims that a new photo hints that in "Gotham City Sirens" Harley Quinn

might be accompanied by other two villainesses - Poison Ivy (played by Megan Fox) and Catwoman (played by Odette Annable). They will team up together against the heroine trio called 'Birds of Prey'.

It means that three new female characters will be introduced in this movie - Black Canary, the Huntress, and Batgirl. If you are a true Batman lover, you should be jumping up and down with excitement by now.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet is the scriptwriter for the movie. She has done some really good movies recently, including the upcoming Tomb Raider and Sherlock Holmes 3.
