Android 7.0 Nougat Beta Preview Version For Honor 5C Launched By Huawei

Huawei has launched an Android 7.0 Nougat beta testing program for its Honor 5C smartphone. Currently, the program is available only to users in India.

As per the official announcement, the beta test program will offer Honor fans a chance to experience, collaborate and help identify bugs in the preview version of the EMUI software. EMUI is Honor's own Android Nougat based customized skin.

The Chinese company has started recruiting beta testers from India. As the beta testing will be a preview version, some features won't be included in this version and the version will not be stable for all devices.

Honor 5C was launched in June last year with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company is now upgrading Honor 5C to Android 7.0 Nougat only for a limited number of beta testers.

The beta test program will consists of two beta batches, the first one with 50 users who will get to test the first release and the second one consisting of 100 users who will test the second beta release, reports GSMArena.

The beta test program is applicable only for Honor 5C smartphones with model number NEM-L22. The users interested in update should make sure that their device is in NEM-L22C675B140/ B151 version to get the N update.

The latest beta version of EMUI will be sent to the registered users through an over-the-air (OTA) as and when the same will be made available.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Should own Honor 5C device.

2. Should actively participate and support other Honor fans and Moderator(s).

3. Should spare at least 2 hours daily for testing and reporting issues.

4. Should be ready to share personal details such as Contact number, IMEI and email id.
