Nokia has not been a very popular name in the smartphone industry nowadays but the scenario might change soon. HMD global has acquired Nokia and will release phones with Nokia branding.

Android was not the cup of tea for Nokia for a while now. But the leaked images of a Nokia smartphone dubbed as the D1(C) might be the news everyone is waiting for. Nokia D1(C) will run on Android as speculated and the leaked images show that the handset will have a home button similar to that on Samsung Galaxy phones.

As reported by PhoneArena, the photo of the device's box has also been leaked which gives the idea of specification of the smartphone. As per specs on the box, the Android Nougat powered phone will be a 5.5 incher with 1920x1080 resolution so the PPI (Pixels per Inch) will be more than 400. The smartphone is said to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon CPU however the model number is not mentioned. It is expected that Snapdragon 430, which is a lower mid-range CPU might power the phone. Internal memory is said to be 64GB and smartphone will come with 4GB RAM. The device will be 4G LTE compatible as shown on the box.

Talking of the camera, the device will ship with 16 Mega pixel rear camera and an 8 Mega pixel front camera for selfies reports GSMArena. However, the video recording might be limited to only 1080P on both front and rear cameras. One interesting thing to note is the device will come with Dolby ATMOS sound enhancement rivalling those on the recent Lenovo phones.

Nokia was a market leader in smartphones but its downfall started since the Android was released. The company is now expected to return into market and the leaks reveal that it will soon enter the market with Android powered phones. Nokia D1(C) is expected to be announced at MWC 2017.
