Nexus 6P On Sprint Getting January Security Update [VIDEO]

Google has started to beef up the security of its devices to the next level. Recently, it has started to roll out January security patch for all its devices-Nexus & Pixels.

The new security update for Google's Nexus 6P Smartphones is started by Sprint. The build version is termed as N4F261 and the update brings the Android 7.1.1 update along with some security patches for the month of January, according to GSM Arena.

The update notification started to roll out slowly. However, if you want to get it faster, then check the settings menu.

Google has also posted the factory images and full OTA images of the updates for Nexus and Pixels. For Pixel and Pixel XL, the update is Nougat builds NMF26U and NMF26V respectively, NDTV reported.

Google in an Android Security Bulletin has released two security level patches. Google said that it will work with Android partners to fix the vulnerabilities across all Android devices keeping in view of the rise in hacking and data theft, especially in Android devices.

The January Security update will clear all the previously reported vulnerabilities and work seamlessly on Google devices to put its devices in a risk-free zone. Google is planning to release a single OTA update quickly for all android devices to avoid further confusion.

In the two January security patches on released on January 1, 2017, and other on January 5, 2017, Google has fixed in a total of 95 vulnerabilities, of which 23 bugs are fixed in the first update and 72 are fixed under the second update.

The Huawei Nexus 6P is 5.7-Inch AMOLED display phone with 2560 X 1440 pixel (518 ppi) resolution. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor supported with 3GB RAM and with an internal storage of 32GB/64GB/128GB. It is backed with 3450 mAh battery that lasts comfortably for one full day. It further boasts with 12.3 MP rear camera and 8MP front facing camera.
