No one could underestimate the power of the internet in the 21st century. Moving from internet based devices to the Internet of Things (IoT), human dependency has gone a long way to ignore the benefits of Next-Gen wireless communication.

After the transformation from 3G to 4G services, things are starting to leapfrog into unknown technological innovations. More than the mobile network operators, other players, especially in commerce and services sectors are major beneficiaries of this transformation.

According to Venture Beat, the next-generation network devices will work on 5G wireless communication, says Rob Topol General Manager of 5G business at Intel. He stated that IoT is swiftly growing into tens of billion of connected devices, right from smart refrigerators to smart showers to smart cruise ships. The 4G network can't cope up with these higher demands of uninterrupted and seamless connectivity in the future.

Therefore, the emergence of 5G is a necessity and it is only a matter of time when companies adopt themselves to the fifth generation mobile network that can transmit data at the rate of gigabits second over the present megabits per second in 4G network.

On the flip-side, some analysts believe that 5G is a mere duplication of 4G as many countries are still yet to transform from 3G to 4G, as reported in Light Reading. The telecom industry implementation of new technologies is like recycling. With the introduction of new technologies, the telecom operators will surely benefit from this hype of 5G, but in reality, it doesn't increase the sales or simply not a game-changer, like 3G. Though, 3G network revolutionized the internet usage, but it falls short of demand.

Contrary to the belief that 5G can spur the sales, it can actually end up being an anti-climax due to poor connectivity and implementation. Many of the businesses are still better of with 4G network, though some business like Ultra HD boxes and video games can benefit the end user over 5G network. The operations of Uber and banking services will not change with 5G networks.

In a nutshell, the World needs to wait for the 5G network to be rolled out in 2020 whether they prove to be game-changer or a mere hype creator.
