James Bond Is Responsible For Smoking Addiction: Researchers Find The Real Fact

James Bond is now responsible for smoking addiction. Yes, scientists have claimed that one of the most admirable characters of the silver screen can be the key cause behind some people's smoking addiction. Previously, he was the symbol of vodka Martini addiction.

New research has revealed that almost all the movies of James Bond featured cigarette smoking. Mail Online reports that before 2002 this popular character was "exposed to second-hand smoke" from his female partners. After 2002 Daniel Craig became the face of that popular character.  

Scientists opine that smoking kills six million people every year. Even it enhances the chance of 17 types of cancer. The most unfortunate fact is cancer patients suffer a lot though modern medical treatment has many successive stories.

World Health Organization clearly predicts that the current century will witness the death of one billion people from tobacco-related problems. Previously teenagers acquired the habit of alcohol consumption from the movies of James Bond. Now scientists assume that cigarette smoking of James Bond can create a similar trend among the teenagers.  

The lifestyle of James Bond has been already a matter of huge discussion. There are 24 movies, and all the movies are screened by the Eon Productions. The journey of the iconic spy began in 1962 with Dr. No.

Researchers from the famous University of Otago, New Zealand first discovered that the onscreen smoking of the iconic character acquired the popularity in the 1960s. According to the British Medical Journal, so far James Bond used cigarettes in 83 percent of the movies, released in the previous decade. All the movies gained popularity.

One of the most popular James Bond movies is 'Die Another Day'. The movie was released in 2002. The iconic spy character took his last puff in that movie. 'Casino Royale' is the only film that doesn't contain any smoking -related scenes. The film came into existence in 2006.

The researchers report that the movies of this iconic hero slowly leaving the path of smoking, but still the existing smoking content can create serious problems. From the public health perspective, smoking content is not at all acceptable. Some movies gained popularity for the smoking style of James Bond.  

'Spectre' is the last movie, which creates nearly 261 million 'tobacco impression' in the US. Even two movies 'Moonraker' and 'License to Kill' have depicted the cigarette branding.  Initiatives were also taken to explore the hazards of smoking in the movie 'You Only Live Twice'.  

It is true that James Bond is always an extraordinary character, who can conquer all impossible things. In real life, it is not so easy. Smoking is always considered as a bad habit and smokers should quit this habit to lead a happy and normal life.
