Looks like the divide between US President elect Donald Trump and the Republican Party (GOP) isn't going away any time soon. Just a few days before his inauguration, a new disagreement has ensued between Preside Elect Trump and his GOP party mates, this time regarding universal health care.

The Washington Post, has quoted President Elect Trump of promising universal coverage or "insurance for everybody" in his own version of a healthcare plan that is said to replace the currently in place Obama health care law (Obamacare). This pronouncement from President Trump came as a surprise for GOP members.

GOP members were not only surprised by the President Elect's promise of "insurance for everybody" but the mere fact that President Trump is developing his own health care plan came as a shocker for the members of the Republican Party. According to CNN, GOP lawmakers did not have any idea that the soon to be inaugurated President is hatching his own Obamacare replacement law. This statement, according to the report, was allegedly confirmed by three senior sources from the Republican Party.

The promise of President Trump of a universal coverage puts him at odds with Republican law makers, particularly the Paul Ryan wing of the party. According to Fox news, while the GOP plan is to repeal now and replace later the President elect seem to be gravitating towards the idea of repealing and replacing the Obamacare at the same time. The Republican Party lawmakers seem to be more interested in cutting the growing expenditures that the Obamacare has caused to the treasury while President Trump is focused on keeping universal healthcare coverage.

It certainly looks like repealing and/or replacing the Obamacare will be the first true test for President Trump if he is to have the reins over the GOP dominated senate and congress. Will the Paul Ryan GOP wing prevail or can President Donald Trump deliver his campaign promises.
