There is no doubt that LeBron James and Stephen Curry are the most popular NBA superstars today. They are often matched against each other. However, in a recent competition, the Golden State Warriors point guard beat the Cleveland Cavaliers power forward.

According to ESPN, Stephen Curry tops the NBA merchandise sales. Cleveland.com added that Curry's no. 30 jersey outshined James' no. 23 for October to December 2016 sales. The NBA does not release specific sales figures. The data is also released quarterly and uses different metrics occasionally.

The two-time NBA MVP even made history because his jersey is best-selling in 43 states. There is no other player in the league that tops in more than one state.

For instance, LeBron James has the best-selling jersey in Ohio. Russell Westbrook tops Oklahoma, Damian Lillard dominates Oregon, Jimmy Butler owns Illinois, Kristaps Porzingis locks up New York and Karl-Anthony Towns monopolizes Minnesota.

Meanwhile, the new addition to GSW and the former OKC Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is in the third spot. Cleveland Cavalier's Kyrie Irving is on the fourth spot and Durant's former running mate Russell Westbrook ranked fifth.

Aside from Stephen Curry beating LeBron James in the jersey sales, GSW remains the most favorite team. The Warriors tops the NBA Team Merchandise Sales even after losing the championship to Cavs last year.

Cleveland Cavaliers is behind the Warriors on the second spot. Meanwhile, no player from Los Angeles Lakers made it in the top 15 player jersey sales. However, surprisingly, despite its poor performance in the current season, LA Lakers is made in the third spot. The team is a step ahead from their fourth ranked in 2015. You can check the complete list in Bleacher Report.
