"Kingdom Hearts" fans have been waiting for its third installment for years. Recent reports suggest that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is unlikely to come out this year. Director Tetsuya Nomura is sorry for the delay but guarantees to deliver a title that will impress players.

Fans have been waiting for "Kingdom Hearts 3" for years. Unfortunately, Square Enix has been reluctant in releasing the anticipated title. According to recent reports, it is impossible for the game to see the light of day this year.

In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu per Gematsu, it seems that Nomura has confirmed the delay of the anticipated title. The "Kingdom Hearts 3" director is aware of the long wait and apologized for it despite their consistent progress.

"I apologize that the wait will be a bit longer for 'Kingdom Hearts III' and 'Final Fantasy VII Remake,'" said Nomura. "I am very sorry, but to that degree I will make a game that will meet your expectations." The "Kingdom Hearts 3" director added that it might take time for both titles to be released. However, he assured that the team will be releasing several other titles this year.

On a side note, many fans were disappointed when the Xbox logo was removed in the official "Kingdom Hearts" website. Followers take it that the "Kingdom Hearts 3" game will not be available in the said console anymore. However, per GameRant, the logo removal was just an error on Square Enix's website. The anticipated game will still be available for Xbox One. In fact, the logo has been added again on the official site.

Meanwhile, for those who want to learn about the recent update for "Kingdom Hearts 3," US Gamer reported that the latest "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" package is a big teaser for the third franchise. In fact, the "Birth By Sleep - A Fragment Passage" is a kind of demo for the next installment.
