Kody Brown and the "Sister Wives" have just been hit with big and bad news. The Supreme Court has decided to dump the Browns' plea to review their call for the legalization of plural marriage in Utah. However, it is speculated that Kody is still pushing to have his pleas heard.

FOX 13 correspondent Ben Winslow tweeted on Monday that the Supreme Court has denied the Browns' petition to review the polygamy case that the family filed. "They will NOT hear the case," Winslow said. It is unclear if Kody and his "Sister Wives" family will make a move following the Supreme Court's decision.

Kody and his four wives, along with their kids, are currently appearing on the eighth season of "Sister Wives." The polygamist is only legally married to Robyn Brown after Meri, Kody's first wife, decided to give way and divorced Kody so the plural marriage can push through. Meri was involved in a catfishing scandal that was featured in the sixth installment of the TLC series. In the current season, Kody and Meri are seen trying to fix their relationship.

According to the New York Daily News, Kody Brown and his four wives were first denied of cohabitation by an appeals court in Utah. They were also investigated by the Utah police after their reality series aired its first installment on the TLC channel. While things seemed to fall apart at that time, the "Sister Wives" stars found refuge through a federal judge's decision.

A federal judge from Salt Lake City gave a nod to Kody and his wives' claims that Utah's law on prohibiting cohabitation was keeping the polygamous clan from religious freedom. However, the appeals court later overturned the initial ruling. The "Sister Wives" then had to step up their game through the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, things apparently didn't turn out the way they expected.

Aside from being slammed by the SC, the "Sister Wives" stars are also faced with other controversies. A new report suggests that Kody Brown may also be having marital conflicts with his wives. While the issue between Meri and Kody was always apparent since the catfishing incident, it is speculated that the other wives are unhappy as well.

It is also said that Kody has some debts that he has to settle. Some fans allegedly believe that he should stop doing "Sister Wives" so he can focus on supporting his big family financially. The Browns, who are fundamental Mormons, have yet to address the rumors.
