GameStop has just announced on Wednesday that they already have new stocks of the in demand Nintendo NES classic and that the Nintendo game console is already up for orders. However this announcement came with the familiar caveat, available while supplies last. A few hours after opening the orders for the Nintendo NES classic, GameStop went out of stock again.

The Nintendo NES Classic going out of stock during the holiday rush was understandable since video game consoles are really in demand during that time frame. But as January is about to end, the Nintendo NES Classic going out of stock again just a few hours after stocks are made available seem to be a bit ridiculous.

A number of reports came out that the Nintendo NES Classic stocks are already available at GameStop 11:00 AM EST. At that time, GameStop only offered the Nintendo NES Classic bundles and did not offer for order the Nintendo console alone.

The cheapest Nintendo NES classic bundle was pegged at $79.99 as the console came with a Miniboss wireless controller. The Classic Zelda Edition bundle was priced at $124.99 while the Nintendo NES Classic Edition Bundle had a $129.99 price tag.

About an hour and 30 minutes after the stocks were made available, GameStop already halted the orders and declared the Nintendo NES Classic out of stock for the Nth time. This frustrated a lot of avid video game players as the stocks for the Nintendo NES Classic seems to be running out at the speed of light in major retailers even though buyers are only allowed to purchase one console per person.

The constant unavailability of Nintendo NES Classic stocks has led pundits to speculate that Nintendo may have been intentionally creating the supply and demand problem to boost sales. This has also been reported in the case of the Nintendo Switch.

No reports have been made if new stocks will be made available. Avid fans who really wants to get a hold of the Nintendo NES Classic can go to third party retailers but they offer the Nintendo game console at a higher price.
