Michael Jordan is a living legend in the history of NBA. Recently, Steve Kerr voiced out her opinion stating that Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry is more popular than MJ for kids.

Due to Jordan's huge success in the NBA, all rising superstars are compared to him. As how Bleacher Report puts it, Jordan is the most popular and the best basketball player in the NBA history. Perhaps, that's why most great talents are compared to him.

For instance, Cleveland Cavaliers' small forward LeBron James has also been constantly compared to the former Chicago Bulls' superstar. However, Stephen Curry had the recent spotlight.

The GSW head coach Steve Kerr compared the crowd that MJ drew to the one's the two-timed MVP Curry draw and he concluded that there's one difference. The size is the same but a particular group of the crowd is more drawn to Curry.

"The crowd size is similar, but the biggest difference is the children that gravitate toward Steph," Kerr told Fox Sports. "You see so many little kids with Steph jerseys begging for his autograph."

Kerr did not mean anything bad with his statement actually. He just noticed that most kids can relate to Stephen Curry due to his built. Curry is only 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds compared to MJ's 6-6 and 190 pounds. The former's approach to the game is also built around immense skills that can usually awe youngsters.

"They all identify with him," Kerr said. "He's probably the rare superstar where an 8-year-old kid can go, 'He looks just like me. Maybe I can do it.'"

As for Kevin Durant, the former OKC Thunder superstar believes that social media has another count in terms of popularity. He agrees that Curry has an immense following but wonder how many Michael Jordan will have, in case, social media platforms are already present on his career.

"MJ didn't grow up in the social media era and he was still huge," Durant exclaimed. "Imagine if he grew up in this era being Michael Jordan, being the first global NBA superstar. Can you imagine what his following would be?"
