"A Song of Ice and Fire" author George RR Martin will be releasing a new story this year. This has been confirmed by a listing in Amazon stating that a new story written by Martin and set on the "Game of Thrones" world is included in the "Book of Swords".

"A Song of Ice and Fire "fans have long been waiting for the next George RR Martin Story. "The Winds of Winter" is the next chapter in the book series where the hit HBO TV show "Game of Thrones" is based.

Martin recently hinted on his livejournal that he thinks "The Winds of Winter" may be out this year. However, he also quipped that he also thought of the same last year.

In the Amazon listing for "Book of Swords", a new story written by Martin is said to be included in the 15 original tales contained in the book. All the tales are said to celebrate the "fantasy's golden age of sword and sorcery".

No details have emerged as to what new "Game of Thrones" story in included in the book. However, fans have already thrown in their theories.

Fans are quick to point out that the new story could not be another "Tale of Dunk and Egg". Some fans believe that the new story may be an excerpt from a book that Martin has said he will be working on after the "A Song of Fire and Ice" book series.

Martin has said in the past that a new book about the history of the Targaryens may be his next project. The book is said to be entitled "Fire and Blood".
