Fashion's 'It' girls Gigi and Bella Hadid take a stand against Donald Trump's controversial anti-immigration policy by participating in a protest march in New York.

During the #NoBanNoWall march last Jan. 29, the supermodel sisters were spotted marching along with protestors in Battery Park neighborhood, as per W Magazine. They both wore "Love Trumps Hate" pins and carried a sign that said "We are all Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Atheists, Christians, Jews." The sign's message was highlighted in specific letters to emphasize the word 'Human.'

The #NoBanNoWall march was carried out in protest of Trump's two executive orders signed last week. The first order affirmed the Mexican border wall that Trump had promised during the election campaign and the second order banned citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries-namely Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Sudan-from entering the US for 90 days.

While the administration clarified it was not a ban against Muslims, it was criticised as a "backdoor way" to ban Muslims from entering the country, according to Time. The order spurred off a number of demonstrations across the US, such as the #NoBanNoWall protest.

Gigi and Bella's stand against the anti-immigration policy has a personal significance for the sisters as their parents Mohamed and Yolanda Hadid are both immigrants, and in their father's case, also a Palestinian Muslim. Not to mention that Gigi's boyfriend Zayn Malik is also a Muslim. Their mother Yolanda, a former model and star of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," immigrated from Netherlands while their father, Mohamed, is a Jordanian-Armenian citizen, USA Today reported.

Yolanda also posted a picture of her daughters in the #NoBanNoWall march in her Instagram account, while Gigi and Bella posted another one as well in their respective accounts. While the Hadid's have not stated their own view regarding Trump, the sisters have shown their disapproval against the controversial anti-immigration policy and have joined the list of celebrities who are calling for it to be overturned.
