Leonardo DiCaprio New Movie:Actor To Produce, Star In Crime Movie 'The Black Hand'

Leonardo DiCaprio is getting ready for another big-screen appearance after winning the Best Actor award at the Oscars in 2016. He is said to star in and produce the adaptation of Paramount Pictures to Stephan Talty's book "The Black Hand."
As per Variety's report, Paramount Pictures is presently looking for someone who will screenwrite the movie adaptation of Talty's book. The story carries out the origin of systematized crime in America, which is set in the early 1900s.
It also follows the journey of private eye Joseph Petrosino, a famous NYPD public servant who is anti "The Black Hand." The Black Hand is a cruel group working to abduct immigrants' kids in exchange for money from their families.
"The Black Hand" team eventually murdered Petrosino for his dedication to help. As revealed, DiCaprio is portraying the role of this man called the "Italian Sherlock Holmes" and fight the crowd.
The same report stated that Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell (both of The Gotham Group) would produce "The Black Hand." They will work together with DiCaprio's producing associate Jennifer Davisson and Nathaniel Posey (Appian Way).
Talty is a remarkable author since his works are considered as New York Times' bestsellers with his six smash-hit historical nonfiction books. Talty was also a ghostwriter for "A Captain's Duty," which is a book that equipped the foundation for the Oscar-nominated movie, "Captain Phillips."
Meanwhile, DiCaprio is also set to play Sam Phillips, who was a widely known music-industry entertainer in the 1950s. Phillips contributed great works for singers such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis.
As per New York Daily News, DiCaprio had signed an initial deal with Paramount in 2015. Now the latter found an excellent project for the 42-year-old actor. Following his award as the Best Actor in Alejandro G. Iñárritu's "The Revenant," DiCaprio now appears to be selective in his portrayals.
