Lauren Alaina News & Update: 'American Idol' Runner Up Reveals New Album Inspiration 'Road Less Traveled'

The former "American Idol" runner-up had confided her distressing battle with bulimia nervosa for quite awhile. At the point Lauren Alaina was experiencing an eating disorder she had revealed that she could not even think of any attractive features with her image. According to the country singer, her body consciousness had started at an early age when she was convince that she was bigger than her peers.

Lauren had also claimed that her condition was caused by watching a clip of a person with bulimia. She believed that the girl was little so she thought to herself that it could be the best way to get skinny. Additionally, her condition had worsened when she had appeared in "American Idol". During her idol journey, she disclosed that she have had experienced body shaming from scrutinizers during her appearance in the national TV.

Alaina had also revealed that she was tagged as Miss Piggy in some blog post which triggered her condition to get worse as reported by People. In line with this, it was also mention that Lauren had been awfully ill during this times where she started vomiting every after her meal for straight two years. She had also described how some people could be very cruel without even considering their target's condition.

On the other hand, Daily Mail had stated that Alaina is currently recovering from eating disorder at this instant. In fact, she even wrote a song regarding eating disorder in her new album "Road Less Traveled". According to the songstress, she decided to get treated when her doctor had warned her that she might lose her voice if her eating disorder won't get treated.

Lauren had also thought that was the time her condition had sink in to her. She became aware that if bulimia would interfere with her singing career, then she would not be able to produce her new album. In addition, Alaina had also advised other people with eating disorder to seek professional help because it is worth it.
