Good news for the married people. A new study has found that a person who has already tied the knot with his dear one must have lower levels of the stress hormone.

Science Daily reported that a new Carnegie Mellon University has recently discovered the lower amount of stress hormone among the married people. The name of the stress hormone is cortisol. The findings unveil that unmarried people always face more psychological stress than the married one.

Mental stress for a longer period creates several health problems. One of the key causes of the health problems is the increasing level of the cortisol hormone. Thankfully the married people have lower mental stress and so they suffer minimum health issues.

The excessive amount of cortisol hampers the body's ability to regulate the inflammation. Brian Chin, a Ph.D. student in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, has uttered that it is truly very exciting to see how physiological pathway can reveal the relation between health and disease. The study shows how the relationship between the married people and the unmarried people creates an impact on their health.

A research team collected saliva samples from 572 healthy people to test the level of the cortisol. All the persons are aged between 21-55. The key aim was to see the biological impacts among the married people.

Psychoneuroendocrinology reported that the test result clearly indicated the lower cortisol level among the married people than the unmarried or previously married participants. The test also revealed that the level of the stress hormone was high in the morning. That means the stress hormone is high when a person wakes up.

The level later declined throughout the day. Most importantly, married people showed the faster decline. The rapid decline of the stress hormone also helps people to avoid heart disease and the cancer patients also survive for longer periods.

The research study beautifully depicts how the intimate relationship between the married people works. Even it reveals that marriage bond can keep people healthier. The study has truly invented a new dimension in the arena of medical science.
