Drew Barrymore Nearly Killed Herself After Stunt Went Wrong On ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ Set?

Playing an undead woman nearly costed the actress. Drew Barrymore has revealed that she almost died on the sets of "Santa Clarita Diet". The actress was performing a stunt scene that went horribly wrong during the rehearsal.

The Golden Globe winner tried performing a physical maneuver that went horribly wrong. It happened during the shooting of her latest Netflix zombie series. The actress suffered a real hard head injury that was scarier than any movie plotline. "It was f*****g terrifying," said Barrymore.

The 41 year old actress told the injury was quite serious and said she never felt anything like that before. Barrymore filmed a scene where she was supposed to jump onto a man's back to kill him. She was completely bowled over by his size and fell down,knocking her head on the concrete floor.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital where she had to spend almost two days, Daily Mail Online reported. I thought, "That's it. We've killed Drew Barrymore," said, Victor Fresco, the series creator. In the upcoming Netflix dark comedy, the "50 First Dates" actress would play the role of a real estate agent. She, along with her on-screen husband Timothy Olyphant turns into flesh eating zombies.

The mother of two children, Olive (4) and Franked (2) returned to the set a week later to film the scene after recovering from the injury. The production was shut down after the incident and resumed after she returned.Coming back, it was scary,' she said as the things were tense among the crew members.

Barrymore said she received a lot of love and care from everyone in the set who aren't family US Weekly reported. The actress claimed she was happy to receive all the support from the people who care about her well being. She appreciated the warmth people showed her.

"Santa Clara Diet" debuted on February 3, 2017 on the popular streaming platform. The show includes several graphic scenes that had already received lots of criticism for being gory.
