The United States has finally declared it 45th president, Donald Trump. However, only a few out of the forty-four have locked their positions as the best in American history. Some of which are the two Roosevelts, Franklin and Theodore, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln. Meanwhile, Barack Obama has rocked the 12th spot in his initial time on the survey.

On the eve of President's Day weekend, a poll was released and it is the third one organized by the cable network C-SPAN from the past 17 years. It almost has the same names of the presidents in 2000 and 2009, with Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan in the last spots. Buchanan, who reigned in 1857 to 1861, has taken the last spot as he was considered as incompetent and indifferent, which made his terms lead to civil war.

However, there were also changes in the rankings, according to Nola. Andrew Jackson, whose presidential style is almost comparable to Donald Trump, has slipped five spots, taking him as the 18th best president while making Dwight Eisenhower advancing into the top five.

Meanwhile, George W. Bush had slightly proceeded, moving from 36th in the last survey to 33rdthis year. However, he was bested by George H.W. Bush, his father, who has taken the 20th spot. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, has taken the 15th place as the best U.S. president this 2017.

Lincoln, Washington, and Franklin Roosevelt are the big three as always while leaving the former president, Barrack Obama at no. 12. This is his first time to be on the survey but he has already shown an impressive result. However, adviser Edna Greene Medford of Howard University believes that he would have assumed that Obama will have a higher rank due to his high approval ratings. Also, considering his scandal-free administration and a huge role in bringing the economy back should have cost him a higher spot.

"Of course," Edna added, "historians prefer to view the past from a distance, and only time will reveal his legacy."
Despite having only the 12th spot, Obama has indeed already proven that he is one of the best.
