Directed by Rupert Sanders, “Ghost in the Shell” movie adapted from its Japanese manga has still its ups and down. In which one of it is the particular outtake of Asians having the white actress like Scarlett Johansson portraying the Japanese movie lead, Major Motoko Kusanagi.

According to BuzzFeed, in an interview with Marie Claire, the 24-year-old actress opened up about her role in the “Ghost in the Shell.” Scarlett then said that she would never presume to play another “race” of a person. Scarlet then added that diversity is a part of Hollywood and that she would never play an offensive role.

Furthermore, the publication also mentioned that the “Lucy” actress turned the race controversy into a feminism issue instead when she said that “having a franchise with a female protagonist driving it is such a rare opportunity.” Thus, many people on Twitter didn’t quite perceive her answer well.

On the positive side, the “Ghost in the Shell” actress also spoke about her suit that showed her body figure in the movie on Games Radar. Given that the suit makes her look naked, Scarlett then said people could agree with her that she is not clearly naked. She then compared Black Widow’s suit to be neoprene fabric or leather sometimes. Thus, she mentioned that she likes the “Ghost in the Shell” suit than her Black Widow costume since it is more comfortable and easier to wear and fight with.

Speaking about Black Widow, the “Ghost in the Shell” actress who plays Natasha Romanoff in Marvel’s “Avengers” said that she already spoke with Marvel’s chief, Kevin Feige. Scarlett then mentioned that they are on the same page that the assassin slash spy should get her standalone movie. Yet, she later stated that it’s just a matter of timing and that Marvel is busy right now per Hindustan Times.

Rest assured “Ghost in the Shell” with casts Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, and Michael Pitt alongside lead actress Scarlett Johansson, would still be released in cinemas on March 31.
