There’s no doubt that many Pokémon trainers all over the world, loves the Pokémon Eevee. Yet, this upcoming “Pokémon Gen 2” Update, problems with evolving the Pokémon into Espeon and Umbreon have been problems. Fortunately, leaks have been provided on how to do so.

According to Inquisitr, the “Pokémon Go” trick that uses name trick on Eevee to evolve into Flareon, Jolteon or Vaporeon by changing it into Rainer, Sparky or Pyro still works. Yet, it is advised that the trick could only be done once. If done previously, one could not do it again for the “Pokémon Go Gen 2” Update.

It was then instructed that the two names to be remembered by trainers this “Pokémon Go Gen 2” Update are “Sakura” and “Tamao.” Changing Eevee’s name into Sakura then closing the app again, then evolving the updated named Eevee would result to a guaranteed Umbreon evolution. The same step goes for Espeon by just changing Eevee’s name into Tamao.

With that said, Pokemon Go Informer reported that aside for the “Pokémon Go Gen 2” naming trick done to evolve Eevee, the publication thought that another way was impossible. Fortunately, sources had evidences that a past way to evolve Eevee from the previous Pokémon Silver and Gold games is by leveling its friendship level by 220 and leveling it further.

It was noted that if this is done during the day between 4:00 AM and 5:59 PM, Espeon would result. While if this method is done between 6:00 PM and 3:59 AM, Umbreon would be evolved from Eevee.

Since “Pokémon Go Gen 2” has no friendship level, the second method aside from the naming trick goes slightly the same as what was mentioned. The trick is that a Pokémon trainer must make Eevee his buddy Pokémon and walk 10km with it as still your buddy Pokémon. Then, evolve Eevee during the day to get an Espeon and an Umbreon at night.

Yet, it was strongly advised that “Pokémon Go Gen 2” trainers must look at how their local time is set up on their phone. If the games and music is set to night time, then it is night time. Same goes for day time set on the smartphone. It was also advised to close the app and just wait for Eevee to complete the 10km walk and re-open it again just to make sure. This is then noted to be a way to be done for unlimited times compared to the naming trick.

Eevee is also reported to have further evolutions with Leafeon and Glaceon coming in "Pokemon Go Gen 4" and Sylveon would grace Gen 6. So, stay tuned for more updates.
