Breastfeeding is a natural, highly recommended and most valuable part of motherhood. It is also important for breastfeeding moms to know the proper position while breastfeeding. Primarily, the baby should be secured properly in the mother's lap, while being supported with the mother's hand. This is also to create the so-called "good latch". This prevents further pain experienced in the nipple area of the mom while the baby is properly sucking the milk.

Furthermore, it is important for the little one to stay awake while being nursed. Babies are often very sleepy, however, once the little one falls asleep easily, he/she won't be able to do his/her job of drinking the colostrum, thus making the breast unable to produce more milk. Nevertheless, it is important to seek help in any case such as the sore nipple, poor latch and milk production, and to know more about proper breastfeeding.
