'Google Assistant' News & Update: Non-Pixel Android Phone Users Now Can Avail The Assistant!

Great news for the smartphone users as Google Assistant is now available to other Android smartphones. The tech giant is making it accessible for all the Android phone users.

Forbes reported that Google will start rolling out its Google Assistant to those Android devices that have Android 6.0 and 7.0 as the operating system. Android 6.0 is the Marshmallow operating system and 7.0 is the Naught operating system. The rolling out will begin later this week.

So far Google Assistant is available only on the Google Pixel phones, Allo messaging app, Home personal assistant, and Android wearable devices. Android phone users can get the Assistant through Google Play Store. This fact is very helpful as the users don't have to wait for the next update from the phone manufacturer to get this unique helping hand.

Android Marshmallow or Naught users in the U.S. will first receive the Google Assistant update. Then the update will be available in the Australia, Canada, and the UK consecutively. Germany will also receive the Assistant sooner.

Other countries will receive the Google Assistant shortly after the said roll out. The interesting fact is speculations are high among the users to know which non-Pixel phone is going to receive the Assistant first. Some users assume that the new LG G6 can be the first one to receive the Assistant.
