After its release in Taiwan last week, Asus' newest smartphone, the Zenfone 3 Zoom is now upon a delayed launch in the United States. The release is now moved to the second quarter of 2017.

The delay was confirmed by Asus through a response to a customer's query posted on Facebook. Asus stated that the delay was caused by a "rework" that will equip the Zenfone 3 Zoom with "better specs". Originally, the initial release which was dated around February was now moved to sometime between April and June as reported by PhoneArena.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is proclaimed as the "thinnest and lightest" with an impressive 13MP front camera and a stunning dual rear camera setup. One is a 12MP with Sony IMX362 sensor, f/1.7 aperture while the other one is 12-megapixel rear camera featuring 2.3x optical zoom and a flash. It has a 5.5" 1080 HD AMOLED display screen which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and an amazing 5000mAh battery.

According to Eastern Daily News,, the Zenfone 3 Zoom will be sold for $399 in the U.S. which has a 32GB internal memory. The pricing, however, would differ depending on storage sizes. It is available with 32GB, 48GB, and 128GB internal memory variants, all of which run on a 4GB RAM.

The Zenfone 3 Zoom may run with an Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner which is good news for every Zenfone users.

The changes that Asus plans to do with the Zenfone 3 Zoom is still unknown, but sources say that Asus will not be changing the original design of the phone. However, it is speculation that the changes will most likely occur within the camera zoom capability, the 5.5" HD display or the snapdragon processor.
