"Reign" Season 4 Episode 4 spoilers have revealed that the upcoming episode titled "Playing with Fire" will bring with it more than just a political union between Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) and Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane). The spoilers suggest that although the queen sees a spark of a new form of relationship with Lord Darnley, it is still not whether she will be able to bring herself to trust another party again, considering the previous betrayal by someone in her inner circle.

However, the officially released synopsis for "Reign" Season 4 Episode 4 has also revealed that Lord Darnley will pay the queen an unexpected visit in Scotland. According to Spoilers Guide, the synopsis reveals that:

"When Lord Darnley surprises Mary with a visit in Scotland, Mary sees a glimmer of a union that could be more than just political. Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) fights to gain allies in her favor and Catherine (Megan Follows) must work to get Claude (Rose Williams) back on track by finding her a new husband."

Meanwhile, fans are eager to find out whether Queen Mary would be able to accept Lord Darnley in the upcoming episode of "Reign" Season 4. Since viewers already know that Queen Mary has been very cautious with giving out her trust lately, even to those who are closest to the queen as she recently discovered that one of her advisors is a traitor.
