Bill Condon, the director of "Beauty and The Beast" live-action movie has confirmed the gay scene in an interview with Attitude Magazine. "LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston. He's confused about what he wants, It's somebody who's just realizing that he has these feelings. It is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie," says Bill Condon.

The Mail Online has reported the interview, which the "Beauty and The Beast" Belle, Emma Watson and beast, Dan Stevens has given to the Attitude Magazine. Emma Watson with her onscreen beast, Dan Stevens has posed for the cover photo of Attitude Magazine's April issue.

According to Emma Watson, it was very important for herself and Dan Stevens to understand the peculiarity of their characters in the movie "Beauty and The Beast". Dan stated that the lead characters of the movie will be very much appealing to the LGBT community. Both the stars commented that it was indeed very important for them to understand the reasons of their characters to act differently in the society.

Emma Watson feels that "Beauty and The Beast" live-action movie is a representation of a stigma, which most of the unconventional couples faces in the modern society. Bill Condon commented that Howard Ashman, the lyricist felt the 1991 film as a metaphor of AIDS. Josh Gad portrays the role of LeFou and the role of Gaston will be handled by Luke Evans.
