Amazon’s Alexa Would Allow Users To Make Phone Calls, AI Virtual Assistant To Be Given Own Camera For Eyes? [LEAKED PHOTO]

Amazon’s very own AI virtual home assistant Alexa is preferred by home device consumers. Yet amid its uses, other leaks suggest that Amazon is still planning to have more new features integrated on it to give in more convenience for people.

According to ZD Net, a leaked image that seemed to be an Amazon Echo equipped with a camera was discovered by reliable Amazon news leaker, AFTVNews. With that said, the image is then speculated to have various possible new features for Amazon’s home devices whether it would be on Echo or Alexa.

However, speculations had been reported that the blue ring is a camera intended to be for an Amazon home security slash virtual assistant device. Meanwhile, another had guessed that it could be a desktop camera to battle out Apple's FaceTime or Microsoft's Skype. Yet no confirmation had been made on which Amazon device would it be integrated or even would it really happen at all.

Furthermore, Recode reported that Amazon might release a new Alexa home device that is powered by a capability to talk to other people through another Alexa device. Basically, it was reported to serve as an intercom for Amazon Alexa users.

The report is said to be ignited with rumors in which a new hardware for Amazon’s Alexa is currently in beta testing. In which could possibly be slated to be announced in the upcoming months. Yet, an Amazon representative had declined to comment.

Moreover, it was then reported that Amazon and Google had thoughts on integrating phone call functionality on their Google Assistant, Amazon and Echo devices. Yet, amid convenient features speculated, whether contacts would be allowed to be synced, or the device would have its own phone number remains unknown.
