Roman Polanski, 83, prominent Polish director of Oscar-winning pieces had been filed a case for raping a 13-year old when he was 43 years old. Now, he had his lawyer, Harland Braun arrange a plea for the LA County Superior Court to unseal arrangements regarding the 2010 transcript which stated that he just needed 42 days in jail.

According to My News LA, Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office opposed that plea of Polanski’s lawyer. It was stated in the released papers of Deputy District Attorney Michele Hanisee that Polanski couldn’t dictate something when he is insulating himself from consequences.

It was then mentioned that the defendant should surrender for the judge’s jurisdiction for further remedies to be redeemed by him. The plea of Polanski then had its testimony from prosecutor Roger Gunson that he agrees with Judge Laurence Rittenband who said that for his found guilty case, Polanski would only serve 48 days in jail.

Yet, it was said that after his stay in China State Prison for 42 days, Rittenband insisted that Polanski should’ve had 50 years more. Polanski fled to different European countries. He also had a previous house arrest in 2009 by Swiss authorities as an extradition request.

With that said, Daily Mail, mentioned that the victim, Sarah Geimer who is now 40 years old currently residing in Hawaii had shown her support regarding Polanski’s plea for freedom. Sarah was 13 years old when Polanski allegedly raped her in a vogue photo shoot. "I have forgiven him and moved on," Geimer said. "'I'm all for the truth getting out. He's apologized. I forgive him. I know that he's sorry and he didn't mean to hurt me.”

A hearing is set for March 20 under Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon. Yet Polanski is reported not to attend that hearing. Braun then further explained that they want him back to yet Polanski wants to remain overseas since he had been lied to so many times. “He was promised 42 days and he’s done over 300 days” he further explained.
