As “Criminal Minds” fans weren’t expecting of all the character of the series,’ Spencer Reid would be the one behind bars. Played by Matthew Gray Gubler, Reid is yet to encounter much more during his stay in prison after being accused.

However, according to TV Guide, Reid would unexpectedly make a new buddy in his prison home. Calvin Shaw played by Harold Perrineau is reported to be his new found friend in prison. Shaw is then said to be present at jail for killing his informant in 2005.

"He's kind of mysterious and will be around for a few episodes," showrunner Erica Messer stated. "Harold is amazing and we've all been fans of his since Oz and Lost. To have him with us is just a joy." Regarding what’s next for the prison pals is yet to be known for “Criminal Minds” Season 12 viewers.

Gosh TV also noted that Shaw was the one who gave tips for Reid in order to survive prison. In which first is to remember that no one is safe. Yet, as Shaw is found to be a friend, Reid still seemed to find danger in his new home in “Criminal Minds.”

Reid was supposed to be listed for protective custody yet a prison guard named Wilkins sent him to general prison. Amid Reid explaining that case to Wilkins, the prison guard insisted that Reid is where he belongs. He also asks him whether he recognizes the inmates around him. Regarding Wilkins’ unexplained anguish towards Reid, “Criminal Minds” next episodes were hoped to clear things out.

Yet with all the plot and story going on in “Criminal Minds,” Daily Record mentioned that it's very writers aren’t running out of ideas to please viewers. Given there are cases that have ridiculous solutions and progress like the Human marionettes and Womb Raider cases, the series’ has yet more murder cases to offer.

Rest assured, “Criminal Minds” Season 12 fans could follow the events on Spencer Reid’s’ life as the series’ air every Wednesdays at 9/8c on CBS. For more TV spoilers like "Game of Thrones" Season 7, visit us here.
