Latest updates have revealed that George R.R. Martin may launch his book "Winds of Winter," on his 70th birthday next year. According to the reports, George R.R. Martin will launch the book as he celebrates his 70th birthday next year.

Although fans of his series have been expecting the sixth book in the renowned author's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series, recent updates reveal that the book titled "The Winds of Winter," will be launched by George R.R. Martin next year.

The updates reassure fans who have waited for so long that the George R.R. Martin will launch the highly anticipated book during his upcoming birthday celebration next year, according to USWeekly. Many fans, due to the repeated changes made to the launch date of "The Winds of Winter," have already lost excitement, but other fans are still optimistic that the book will be launched sooner, rather than later.

Even with these updates and speculations all over the place, some fans are still finding it hard to believe that George R.R. Martin's novel will be launched next year. Since George R.R. Martin's birthday bash seems like an excellent place to launch "The Winds of Winter."

However, these speculations and rumors were further fueled by George R.R. Martin's post on Twitter last Feb. 28, "It's publication day...," with some of the writers fans even speculating that the launch of the upcoming sixth book in the novel series was deliberately delayed, so as to make its launch in time for George R.R. Martin's grand birthday celebration next year. According to reports, while some fans are indifferent about this decision to extend the launch of "The Winds of Winter" to next year, others are disappointed especially as George R.R. Martin's grand birthday will not be coming up until Sept. 20, 2018.

But, if the speculations stating that "The Winds of Winter" will not be launched until 2018 are to be considered, then it invariably means that "Game of Thrones" season 7 will be released before the upcoming book. HBO's series, "Game of Thrones" season 7 is already scheduled to launch this year. It is reported that it is likely that George R.R. Martin will have to make little modifications to the plot of the upcoming novel, as fans can recall that the finale episode of "Game of Thrones" season 6 was based on "The Winds of Winter."

However, it is reported that George R.R. Martin revealed in an interview that the upcoming book, "The Winds of Winter" is taking him a while to complete. According to Vinereport, it was previously reported that the sixth volume of the series would have more than 1,500 manuscript pages. George R.R. Martin revealed in an interview with SmarterTravel in 2012, that the upcoming book will have a howling start.

But George R.R. Martin's co-writers in "A World of Ice and Fire," Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson have revealed that the delay in the launch of the novel can be attributed to the writing style of the world-renowned writer. George R.R. Martin feels that once he has outlined the story, explored all the necessary details and all the beats of the story, he cannot go back or revisit it, Garcia explained.
