Scientists at the United States Space Agency NASA are from the viewpoint that an artificial shield of the magnet can make the Red Planet habitable. Scientists have thought of launching a plastic magnetic shield into the space that will help to protect Mars from the solar winds, and thereby foster life on Mars.

Studies have revealed that by doing this, the atmosphere of Mars can be restored and terraform its environment which will allow liquid water to flow on the surface of Mars making life possible there. The researchers at the United States Space Agency think that a sufficiently high power magnetic shield if launched into space will be serving as a replacement for the Red Planet's magnetosphere that is lost. The magnetosphere is the natural shield that helps in the prevention of the charged particles from reaching the surface of the planet.

According to Breaking News, the atmosphere of Mars has been damaged by the solar winds that have resulted in the destruction of ninety percent of the layer that provides Mars with water and the proper temperate climate more than about three billion years ago. Scientists are of the view that an artificially created shield of the magnet may help to speed up the restoration of the original atmosphere of the Red Planet. This could be ultimately result in bringing back life on Mars and make the planet habitable for the human explorers and colonizers.

Similar to the atmosphere of the Earth, an enhanced atmosphere would be allowing larger landed mass to shield against most of the solar particle and cosmic radiation which in turn will be extending the ability of oxygen extraction and provide greenhouse gasses to exist for the production of plants. For this scientists have even considered injecting greenhouse gasses which are warm to the atmosphere of the Red Planet, revealed Tech Times.

Researchers reveal that the artificially created gasses are ten thousand times more potential than that of Carbon Dioxide which if added to the atmosphere of the Red Planet could bring about a greenhouse effect. Hence, this would be increasing the temperature of the planet that will help in the process of melting so that the world is not frozen encouraging life on Mars.
